Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love both of my majors, but where I go to school artists and art historians have almost no interaction with each other. This is sad considering they are, by definition, bound together. In class this week my sculpture teacher must have thought he was being very academic when he mentioned stark white installations as referencing works from Antiquity. Yeah, the artifacts we still have are pretty much all white marble. If you REALLY wanted to reference Greek and Roman Antiquity your installation would most likely be bright, colorful, and slightly gaudy. Sorry for the rant, but I could not say anything in class for fear of being *that* girl.

try being in Graphic Design. “French Baroque” and “Art Deco” are NO WHERE NEAR THE SAME THING AND YOUR SHITTY ILLUSTRATION LOOKS LIKE NEITHER.
